BLOG TOUR | Summer at the Dog & Duck by Jill Steeples

~BLURB~

The perfect summer read. Continuing the light hearted, uplifting dramas around the 'The Dog & Duck' pub and the life of its landlady Ellie Browne.
Ellie Browne has found happiness running The Dog and Duck pub in the idyllic village of Little Leyton, and her blossoming romance with tall, handsome property developer, Max Golding, is going swimmingly. With her new best friend, Digby, the black Labrador at her side, life just couldn't be sweeter.

But their peace is shattered when Max's younger sister, Katy, turns up unannounced with a whole heap of attitude. And Max's loyalties are stretched further when his glamorous ex, Sasha, re-appears with her own burgeoning secret.

With the master of the manor preoccupied with the demands of his 'other women', Ellie's forced to consider if she has any role to play in Max's life or in the village of Little Leyton.

Can Ellie get her life and relationship back on track in time for the summer charity ball at Braithwaite Manor?

Friday Reads #5 ~ Silver Silence (Psy-Changeling Trinity #1)

Book Beginnings is a book meme hosted by Rose City Reader where participants share the first sentence (or so) of the book, along with initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda’s Voice, and the rules are quite simple: Grab a book, any book, turn to page 56 or 56% in your e-reader. Find any non-spoilery sentence(s) and post.
This week’s book:

32573185Goodreads Summary:

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh returns to her extraordinary Psy-Changeling world with a story of wild passion and darkest betrayal...

Control. Precision. Family. These are the principles that drive Silver Mercant. At a time when the fledgling Trinity Accord seeks to unite a divided world, with Silver playing a crucial role as director of a worldwide emergency response network, wildness and chaos are the last things she needs in her life. But that's exactly what Valentin Nikolaev, alpha of the StoneWater bears, brings with him.

Valentin has never met a more fascinating woman. Though Silver is ruled by Silence--her mind clear of all emotion--Valentin senses a whisper of fire around her. That's what keeps him climbing apartment buildings to be near her. But when a shadow assassin almost succeeds in poisoning Silver, the stakes become deadly serious...and Silver finds herself in the heart of a powerful bear clan.

Her would-be assassin has no idea what their poison has unleashed.

BOOK BEGINNINGS:

Age of Trinity

OCTOBER 2082 IS a new beginning. Psy, human, and changeling, all three races have agreed to work together to unite their divided world. The Trinity Accord is the fragile foundation of all their hopes and dreams of a future without war, without violence, without shattering loss. It is a noble ambition.

FRIDAY 56:

“Do you like being noisy now?” Sveta asked after a long pause.

Noisy?”
“’Cause you were Silent before?”
“Oh, I see.” Silver took time to consider the question. “Emotion—being noisy—is new to me. But . . . yes, I think I like being noisy. The world is a much more eclectically beautiful place with emotion in it, despite the clear disadvantage of losing the power of pure rationality.”
“You talk funny,” Arkasha volunteered. “I like you though.”

MY THOUGHTS:

I LOVE this series(Psy-Changeling) this is the first book in season 2 of this series and since I am reading this currently and it was just released on 13th of June, I thought I'll talk about this book. I already loved this book after I read the first chapter as a teaser and 55% in, I am more and more in love with this book and series and characters and writing and the author and the everything! LOL. You have got to read or give this series a chance Adult readers!

PS: I am hosting a readathon on Instagram to read 5 books in seven days, it's from 1st of July till 7th of July. It's called #sunsout5books1week. To kick start our summer with an achievable goal and speed up our reading by reading 5 books in the first week! So come on over and join us!

Waiting on Wednesday/Can't Wait Wednesday #40 ~ Chasing Christmas Eve (Heartbreaker Bay #4) by Jill Shalvis

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to spotlight and talk about the books that we are excited about that we have yet to read. Generally, they are books that are yet to be released as well. It's based on "Waiting On" Wednesday hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

Title: Chasing Christmas Eve (Heartbreaker Bay, #4)
(Click on the title to know more about it on goodreads.)
 Author:  Jill Shalvis
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Adult Fiction
Publication Date:  September 26th, 2017

Goodreads Summary:

Meet cute...

Run for the hills temporarily. That's Colbie Albright's plan when she flees New York for San Francisco. Wrangling her crazy family by day and writing a bestselling YA fantasy series by night has taken its toll. In short, Colbie's so over it that she's under it. She's also under the waters of a historic San Francisco fountain within an hour of arrival. Fortunately, the guy who fishes Colbie out has her looking forward to Christmas among strangers. But she's pretty sure Spencer Baldwin won't be a stranger for long.

Make merry...

Spence's commitment to hiding from the Ghosts of Relationships Past means he doesn't have to worry about the powerful--okay, crazy hot chemistry--he's got with Colbie. Just because she can laugh at anything, especially herself... just because she's gorgeous and a great listener just because she gets Spence immediately doesn't mean he won't be able to let Colbie go. Does it?

and hope for a miracle.

Now the clock's ticking for Colbie and Spence: Two weeks to cut loose. Two weeks to fall hard. Two weeks to figure out how to make this Christmas last a lifetime.

I'm waiting because...

I love Jill Shalvis. I read everything she writes and I especially love this series so can't wait for Spencer's story!!

PS: I am hosting readathon on Instagram, its #sunsout5books1week, meaning challenge to read 5 books in 1 week from July 1st till July 7th! Check out my Instagram if interested! Its pri_bibliophile

What are you waiting on this Wednesday?
